Tristan Thompson apologises to Khloé Kardashian after confirming third child

Tristan Thompson has confirmed he's fathered a third child, while apologising to Khloé Kardashian for causing 'heartache and humiliation'.

Last month, Tristan made headlines when personal trainer Maralee Nichols alleged she had given birth to his child, after getting pregnant while he was in a relationship with Keeping Up With The Kardashian's Khloé.

A month later, Tristan has taken to Instagram Stories to confirm the allegations are true, writing on 4 January: "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.

"I sincerely apologise to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."

In a second slide, he added, "Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.

While Khloé hasn't directly responded to the public apology, she recently made an admission on Twitter about going through a hard time. She responded to criticism from a fan on 8 December with "Tbh I’m barely in my own body right now. Please don’t read into anything. Also please don’t tear me apart because you assumed something. [sic]"

Tristan is now father to five-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig, three-year-old daughter True and now a newborn son, who Maralee welcomed on 1 December.
