Trivia Night Fundraiser to benefit Forsyth Township Public Library

GWINN, Mich. (WJMN) – In an effort to support local libraries, a trivia night fundraiser is being held at The UP North Lodge in Gwinn on Sunday, February 4 to benefit Forsyth Township Public Library.

From 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. there will be trivia, bucket raffles and a 50/50 raffle. Funds raised at the event will primarily go towards programming from the library to offer for the community.

“We do a lot of things for children between story time and scavenger hunts and Lego club and different things,” said Leslie Makela, Director, Forsyth Township Public Library. “We’re looking to do more for adults. We have some board members who are really motivated to help me do that and we’re already offering monthly coffee and conversations on Saturdays. We’re looking to do some adult art activities and we have a concert scheduled this summer already. It [the event] is for adults and teens. We have more tickets here and we will have them at the library through tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. and then we’ll have the rest of the tickets available at the door.”

Tickets are required for the event. It’s a $10 donation to play. Makela says teams of four to eight people is encouraged.
