Trojans Wired podcast reviews USC women’s hoops season, NCAA tourney

The USC women’s basketball season was a clear-cut success, but it wasn’t able to produce an NCAA Tournament victory. The Trojans played yet another overtime game in a season filled with OT cliffhangers, but they fell short against South Dakota State. We have plenty to discuss as the Women of Troy head into a very big offseason.

USC will obviously need more offense to complement the defense next season. The Trojans will need more depth so that their starters aren’t asked to play 40 to 43 minutes in a 45-minute overtime game and can stay fresher over the course of a full season. This, in turn, should improve USC’s overall shooting percentage and make the offense much more efficient. On our latest podcast, we dealt with these and other related topics as we processed the loss to South Dakota State and reviewed the past season as a whole.

We also looked into Lindsay Gottlieb’s remarks on how to relate to players and coach them up. We have the audio clips and some specific posts on Gottlieb’s insights.
