7. SAALBACH 2025 PROMOTIONAL VIDEO
STORY: The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced on Saturday (October 3) the hosts for the 2025 world ski championships.
The Norwegian city of Trondheim will organise the Nordic World Ski Championships.
Trondheim 2025 was the only candidate bidding to host the 44th edition of the championships and the FIS Council unanimously awarded them the event.
Meanwhile, Saalbach beat two other bidding cities to host the 2025 Alpine World Ski Championships.
The Austrian city received 12 votes from the FIS Council while the Crans-Montana and Garmisch Partenkirchen bids received one vote each.
It will be the second time both Trondheim and Saalbach have hosted the respective world championships.
Trondheim first staged the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 while Saalbach held the alpine event six years earlier.
