Troopers: At least 1 dead in crash between motorcycle, garbage truck in Rowan County

At least one person died in a crash in Rowan County just after midnight Wednesday morning, according to troopers.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said troopers went to Highway 152 at Lake Wright Road for the crash just after 1:15 a.m. The location is just outside of China Grove.

When they arrived, they found a motorcycle that had collided with a garbage truck.

At least one person died in the crash, investigators said.

The crash is still under investigation and no further information can be shared at this time, according to authorities.
