Tropical Storm Ian expected to maintain intensity as it makes landfall in South Carolina

Tropical Storm Ian is projected to hit South Carolina, where it's expected to become a hurricane once again.

DAVE BRIGGS: All right, let's get you up to speed now on Hurricane-- now Tropical Storm Ian. Gaining intensity and expected to become a hurricane once again as it approaches the South Carolina coast where it should hit sometime Friday.

The storm leaving behind a path of destruction across the State of Florida. Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno saying earlier on "Good Morning America," quote, "While I don't have confirmed numbers, I definitely know fatalities are in the hundreds."

More than two and half million residents still without power in Florida. Tampa International Airport will reopen tomorrow, as will Disney Parks in a phased reopening.
