Will Tropical Storm Isaias hit Tampa and St. Petersburg? Here’s what to expect and when

Tampa and St. Petersburg are on the western edge of the forecast path of Tropical Storm Isaias as of Thursday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center. It is currently expected to track off the east coast of Florida over the weekend.

Although the path of Isaias has shifted over the past few days, most of Florida has consistently remained in the path. The hurricane center said the exact intensity isn’t certain, but top wind speeds could be close to hurricane strength.
