The next steps will include ratification by members of the teacher’s union, according to a Trotwood Schools spokesperson.

“We are pleased that we have been able to work collaboratively during the negotiations process to reach an agreement that best serves our students, staff, and the Trotwood community,” Trotwood City Schools said in a statement.

The board of education members will need to approve the three-year contract.

The TMEA also praised the agreement in a statement on Friday.

“It’s been a long year of negotiations,” said Angela Bruno, TMEA President. “We thank the parents of our students, Trotwood businesses, the entire Trotwood community and the media for their support!”

The entire Trotwood-Madison Education Association membership will vote to ratify the agreement on April 10, according to a TMEA spokesperson.

We will continue to provide updates.
