Trouble and Sons Pizzeria in Whitefish Bay has closed permanently due to staffing issues
Trouble and Sons Pizzeria in Whitefish Bay is permanently closing its doors. The restaurant, which opened in the fall of 2018, announced the closure on Facebook July 7.
“Closing the doors was a difficult decision. But after three years of coaxing and pushing the restaurants through the pandemic and navigating persistent challenges in the labor market, the effort is taking a toll,” the Facebook post said.
The pizzeria had announced a temporary closure on June 27, citing staffing issues. Then the temporary closure turned permanent.
Trouble and Sons is owned by Anne Marie Arroyo and Tamela Greene. The pair also own Moxie Food + Drink, 501 E. Silver Spring Drive, another Whitefish Bay restaurant that will continue to operate.
“On the upside of all this, now we will be able to better balance our lives while we laser focus efforts on our first restaurant — MOXIE Food + Drink — and take it to the next level,” the post said.
Moxie Food + Drink is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday and is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. The Moxie speakeasy (21+) is open for drinks and appetizers on Sunday.
The Facebook post said that certain pieces of artwork and furniture from Trouble and Sons may be for sale soon.
Both restaurants are members of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
