ESPN announcer Joe Buck, an Indiana University alum, made sure to note fellow Hoosier and Dallas Cowboys tight end Peyton Hendershot during the "Monday Night Football" game where the New York Giants hosted their NFC East division rivals.

Troy Aikman, the commentator standing beside Buck, responded with a dig at the Hoosiers.

Hendershot, an undrafted rookie and the Hoosiers' all-time leader among tight ends for receptions and yards, had his first three NFL catches Monday night for 43 yards.

Buck said after a fourth-quarter catch and 10-yard gain that Hendershot was "making the Indiana Hoosiers football program proud."

Aikman responded with a chuckle: "That doesn't take much, does it?"

Both immediately agreed Aikman's comment "wasn't fair."
