Troy boys and girls hoops sweep the NTL Showdown

SAYRE, P.A. (WETM) – Troy basketball added 2 more trophies to their collection.

Troy boys and girls basketball each claimed an NTL Showdown title at Sayre High School, on Saturday. The Troy girls opened the day with a 48-30 win over Williamson, to claim the showdown title. With the win, the Trojans move to 21-3 on the season and maintain an 17-0 record in the league.

On the boys side, Troy continued a perfect season with a big win. The Trojans bested North Penn-Mansfield 56-38, to claim the NTL Showdown crown. Troy’s win improves the team to a perfect 24-0 overall record.

Both Troy squads will now look ahead to the District IV Tournament, beginning the quest for a state championship.
