Troy Quinn adds another five years as music director of Venice Symphony

Troy Quinn will continue his bicoastal life to lead The Venice Symphony for a few additional years.

The symphony board has extended his contract another five years to keep him leading the organization through the 2032-33 season.  Quinn, who lives primarily in the Los Angeles area, was hired in June 2018. He has diversified programming and strengthened the orchestra with a result of a growing audience base. Many concerts at the Venice Performing Arts Center are sold out.

“In just five years, Troy Quinn’s dynamic programming and charismatic leadership have raised The Venice Symphony to a level that rivals any orchestra in our region and I believe, the country,” president and CEO Christine Kasten said in a statement. “I can think of no better way to launch our 50th anniversary in this community than by sharing Troy’s commitment to lead the exceptional orchestra he has built through 2033.”
