Jul. 10—A multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned commercial truck has prompted a northbound Interstate 5 closure with detour at the Phoenix exit, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Northbound I-5 is being diverted at Talent Exit 21 onto Highway 99 routed back onto the freeway near Phoenix exit 24, according to an ODOT release Saturday afternoon.
The motor vehicle collision with rollover near Exit 24 was first reported at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, according to Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon records.
Southbound traffic is not affected, according to ODOT.
ODOT officials reopened the fast lane as of an update about 3:34 p.m. and closed the detour as of an update shortly before 4 p.m. Northbound motorists should prepare for delays and use caution in the area.
