No injuries were reported after a dump truck flipped near Codorus State Park Friday morning, officials confirmed.

Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Sinsheim Road in Manheim Township, just outside of Codorus State Park, around 8:59 a.m. on Friday, according to York County 911 records.

The driver did not complain of any injuries, Snyder said. There were no other occupants or vehicles involved.

The driver was removed from the overturned truck by bystanders before the fire department's arrival, he said.

Bystanders were able to free the driver by breaking the windshield of the truck, with the driver walking out through the windshield, Snyder said.

The truck was hauling stone, Snyder said, which does not pose a threat to the environment. Snyder was unsure if the company would attempt to salvage any of the spilled stone or simply clear it from the roadway.

No fluids or hazardous materials leaked from the truck, he said.

A rotator, which is a large towing vehicle with a crane-like arm, was called to the scene from Mike's Towing to flip the large truck back onto its wheels.

Sinsheim Road was shut down between Park Road and Blooming Grove Road during the incident.

Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company was assisted on scene by Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department EMS and Friendship Hose Company of Spring Grove fire police.
