Oct. 25—A two-vehicle collision resulted in a vehicle rollover near Interskate 88 on state Route 23 in Oneonta on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck rear-ended a Dodge Durango and then rolled over onto its top, resulting in the passengers of both vehicles being evaluated for injuries at the scene.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene for a child who was in the truck.
The driver of the truck, who identified himself at the scene only as Nick, said that the truck's brakes went out.
Michael Howard, who identified himself as the husband of the driver of the Dodge Durango, said that his wife, Jennifer, told him that her vehicle had been headed west on Route 23 and that the truck had not slowed down as it approached from behind.
Their 11-year-old daughter was also in the Dodge Durango.
Emergency response crews, including state police, AMR ambulances and the town of Oneonta constable, were dispatched to the scene around 4:45 p.m.
