Trump accuses Dems of taking pictures of Hope Hicks during closed-door testimony

One day after announcing his bid for re-election, and just hours after former White House communications director Hope Hicks stonewalled the House Judiciary Committee, Donald Trump called into Hannity, where he accused Democrats of taking pictures of her. He said that two, in particular, were guilty of this, but declined to name names.

“I hear they were taking pictures of her,” Trump said, “congressmen, two congressmen in particular that I see on television all the time. I won’t mention their names. We don’t want to make them any more famous.”

Trump’s accusations didn’t stop there.

“They were taking pictures of her with their cell phone, and then leaking the pictures of her testifying,” Trump said. “And this was in a closed room. Look, it’s out of control.”

As of the time this story was published, no pictures from the hearing have come to light, nor has any member of the committee confirmed nor denied that this occurred. But still, Trump took this opportunity to use the “I know you are but what am I?” defense with Democrats.

“These people are absolutely — you know they use the word,” Trump said, “it’s a good word I guess, ‘unhinged,’ what’s happened to the Democrats.”

Hannity airs weeknights at 9 p.m. on Fox News Channel.
