Trump attacks Sadiq Khan after spate of murders: 'London needs a new mayor'
Donald Trump has criticised Sadiq Khan on Twitter and claimed that London “needs a new mayor ASAP”, following three killings in the city.
“Khan is a disaster – will only get worse!” Mr Trump said on Saturday.
The US president made his comments while retweeting Katie Hopkins, a controversial right wing commentator.
Ms Hopkins highlighted three recent stabbings in London in the original tweet.
“This is Khan’s Londonistan,” she wrote.
Mr Khan is a British citizen, of Pakistani descent.
