Trump campaign shares video depicting POTUS as 'Avengers' villain Thanos

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump's campaign morphed him into the Avengers supervillain Thanos in a video that appeared on Twitter Tuesday.

"House Democrats can push their sham impeachment all they want," the tweet said. "President Trump's re-election is inevitable."

The video from the Trump War Room shows the president's face superimposed on Thanos, with the villain's voice booming, "I am inevitable," before snapping his fingers, causing the House Democratic leadership team, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, to turn to dust.

In the movies, when Thanos would snap his fingers, he had the power to turn half the world's population to dust by collecting Infinity Stones.

However, the scene chosen by the Trump War Room incorrectly portrays the ending of "Endgame".

The correct ending is that although Thanos thinks he's beaten the Avengers, as he snaps his fingers to complete his final mission of genocide, he realizes he has actually lost after Iron Man has stolen the Infinity Stones from him and used them against Thanos to eliminate the supervillain.

The tweet comes hours after House Democrats announced two articles of impeachment against the president.

The articles – abuse of power and obstruction of Congress – are charges of wrongdoing that layout specific assertions of how the president violated the U.S. Constitution and the oath of his office.

Twitter users were quick to point out the discrepancies with the Trump War Room video.
