Fresh off his return to the campaign trail in Sanford, President Donald Trump is coming back to Florida later this week.

The campaign has confirmed another fly-in rally in Ocala on Friday, scheduled for 4 p.m. at Ocala International Airport about 80 miles northwest of Orlando.

Trump also is expected Thursday night in Miami, although it’s unknown at the moment what his plans are.

The president was initially scheduled to debate Joe Biden that night at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, but that event was canceled after Trump declined to do the event virtually.

Trump’s itinerary reveals his campaign’s focus on capturing the Sunshine State. Trump and his opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, both have stressed the need to win the state on Nov. 3.

Trump’s first rally outside of Washington after his coronavirus diagnosis drew thousands of cheering followers to Orlando Sanford International Airport on Monday night.

During his hourlong speech, the president vowed to win Florida again, as he did in 2016 in the race against Hillary Clinton.

Trump, who declared himself to be “immune” to the coronavirus, held the event despite public health warnings against large gatherings during the pandemic. He had revealed he had contracted the virus 11 days earlier.

Most of those who attended the Sanford rally did not wear masks or practice social distancing.
