Trump tweets that he's 'feeling well' thanks to 'amazing' staff at Walter Reed hospital

President Donald Trump tweeted that he was “feeling well” on his first full day at Walter Reed National Medical Center Saturday, about an hour after officials offered conflicting reports about his health.

Trump thanks the “amazing” staff at the military hospital, and touted the “tremendous progress that has been made over the last 6 months in fighting this PLAGUE.”

“With their help, I am feeling well!” he wrote.

About an hour earlier, White House officials provided a confusing diagnosis of Trump’s illness, with White House doctor Dr. Sean Conley telling reporters he was “doing very well” — then a White House official telling the media moments later that the president’s vitals were “very concerning.”

“We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery,” the official said.

Trump was given supplemental oxygen at the White House on Friday before going to Bethesda, Maryland. hospital, according to sources close to the president.

First lady Melania Trump, who also tested positive, was reportedly doing much better than her husband and recovering at home at the White House.

Their teenage son, Barron Trump, has so far tested negative.
