Trump’s Fox News Cabinet Tells Him the Coronavirus Crisis Is Over

And in recent days, it seems, the president has been receiving his newest coronavirus intel briefing from Fox News. This time, they say, the pandemic is over and it’s time to move on.

Throughout Tuesday night’s primetime stretch, Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham were in lockstep in telegraphing to Trump a message that the pandemic’s threat has been overstated, death counts have been inflated, and the U.S. is already on the downside of the curve.

And as Fox News’ biggest stars tried to convince the president to ditch social distancing altogether, one of Trump’s own health officials rebuked the network’s faux-populist manipulation of the expert data and projections.

“Physical distancing is incredibly important—remember the projections,” Assistant Secretary for Health Brett Giroir said Wednesday on Fox & Friends. “I have seen people twist that like this was not going to be that bad after all and we didn’t need to do it. That’s a complete misinterpretation. The estimate of deaths going down is the result of the fact that we have listened to the president and vice president and task force.”

“I do want to emphasize the point, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but don’t keep your foot—don’t take your foot off the gas,” Giroir continued. “Because we really need to continue these efforts because we could see another peak, a second peak, a third peak if people don’t do the physical distancing or they think it’s all over.

    “It’s not over yet.”

As far back as late November, U.S. intelligence officials were warning that a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population, according to four sources briefed on the secret reporting.
Concerns about what is now known to be the novel coronavirus pandemic were detailed in a November intelligence report by the military's National Center for Medical Intelligence (NCMI), according to two officials familiar with the document’s contents.
The report was the result of analysis of wire and computer intercepts, coupled with satellite images. It raised alarms because an out-of-control disease would pose a serious threat to U.S. forces in Asia -- forces that depend on the NCMI’s work. And it paints a picture of an American government that could have ramped up mitigation and containment efforts far earlier to prepare for a crisis poised to come home.
"Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," one of the sources said of the NCMI’s report. "It was then briefed multiple times to" the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s Joint Staff and the White House.

The first step in returning the nation to work......
Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Jared, Tiffany
All volunteer as hospital orderlies in D.C. (the likely next epicenter) with available PPE (not the materials Jared illegally seized) and work four 12 hour shifts transporting the Covid-19 patients, cleaning their hospital rooms, assisting in any way that a paid hospital staffer works.....then, after they’ve handled their volunteer positions for a week (and Daddy pays for the Secret Service protection - they get full PPE - with the money he’s already transferred to his golf courses) and wait for the 14 day self quarantine to pass....no testing access......like the rest of us....then maybe we’ll think about listening to Dr. Drumpf instead of Dr. Fauci or Dr. Birx.
Till then, pipe down and let the medical professionals handle the medical emergency.

Hannity - a college dropout and Carlson - a history major who had his application to join the CIA rejected (likely to concerns about his ability to analyze information) - are providing guidance on critical issues of public health and infectious diseases to a president that thinks "hamurder" is a word. Yeah, this makes sense.

Fox news viewers are the mos mis informed viewers of any news source. The way Tucker, Hannity and Laura frame the questions, is often wrong. For example, the projections were not wrong,,,, they were projections, not statements,,,, they were based on previous numbers and assumptions about social behavior. Fortunately, many across the country took this virus seriously waaay before the President and Fox,,, and saw in New York what could happen to them. Some Governors took very early actions, and some counties took very early actions. In San Diego County, we were advised to stay at home long before Trump or Fox ever suggested it... Thats why the projections are off, because local governments, communities and individuals saw it as a real problem, and took action. If we had followed the advice of Trump and Fox, may thousands more would have been infected.

Fox Owners and Top managers are already anticipating a whole slew of court-quality evidenced civil class action suits for the damage and death, from their 6 weeks of denying the seriousness of the disease, and for tens of thousands of extra needless deaths for calling it a hoax (see below), with their retaining a team of very expensive attorneys to lesson the size of the punitive awarded damage – the things they are still doing will counteract their anticipated legal team’s effort,

How about Hannity, Carlson, Hume, and Ingraham all go to Henry Ford hospital in Detroit without proper PPE and work a short 8 hour shift? They should act out by example if they are so willing for the rest of us to stop social distancing.

There is enough disease in the hospital now, please just stay home and help keep those in need safe.
My Cyberknife brain surgery begins tomorrow at Tacoma General, and will be for 5 consecutive days. Thu., Fri., Mon., Tue., and Wed. They put me at the head of the line after having a stroke last week and me finding out I went from Stage 1 lung cancer to Stage 4 lung and brain cancer in a day. I pray spending all this next week at the hospital, I can remain Covid 19 free. This is such a frightening time for this to be happening to me.

For those now using this info to say that Covid-19 was overblown or a hoax, the fact that the numbers may not reach the projections simply means we people have being doing a good job of social distancing, cleaning, staying healthy. That's the whole point. China is only now starting to lift restrictions, and that's 7 months later from when it first broke out. This is utterly irresponsible! Not a surprise however, coming from Fox land.

“Patients are not dying alone in the hallways of emergency rooms with physicians too overwhelmed to treat them,” he asserted.

nope they're dying in the hospital rooms isolated and alone without family.
