Livestream: Trump Holds Wednesday News Conference During DNC Week

WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump is back at the White House on Wednesday after spending the early part of the week elsewhere in the country with a news briefing scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The president delivered remarks from Iowa and Arizona on Tuesday and was in Minnesota on Monday.

He'll likely have to address questions on funding for the United States Post Office. This week Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said all changes affecting post office operations will be postponed until after the general election as there's a growing worry on whether the mail service will be able to handle the influx of mail-in ballots that are expected to come in during the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier today, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the post office funding is a "manufactured" crisis put forth by Democratic lawmakers.

DeJoy's decision to delay changes has come during the virtual Democratic National Convention week from Milwaukee. Former President Barack Obama headlines the group of speakers planned for the DNC Wednesday night.
