Trump Insulted Heidi Klum's Looks For Some Reason. This Was Her Response
Republican presidential candidate and human embodiment of sexism Donald Trump dissed supermodel and reality TV star Heidi Klumin an interview with The New York Times that was published on Sunday.
"Sadly, she’s no longer a 10," Trump said.
In response,Klum posted a video to her Facebook page on Monday. In it, she wears a shirt that reads "10" that's quickly replaced by one that reads "9.99." The caption on the video reads: #TrumpHasSpoken#sadly#9.99#NoLongerA10#IHadAGoodRun#donaldtrump#trumped#HeidiTrumpsTrump#BeautyIsI
This isn't the first time that Trump has acted like he's the official arbitrator of female attractiveness.He has called Rosie O'Donnell a "very unattractive person," Kim Kardashian "fat" and Jessica Chastain "certainly not hot."
Even his own daughter, Ivanka, isn't off limits.
"She does have a very nice figure," he said in a 2006 interview, joking that "if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."
The real estate tycoon also owns two beauty pageants, Miss USA and Miss Universe.
Trump has been dominating in the latest polls.A CNN poll released on Tuesday showed him leading the Republican field with 24 percent, even after his controversial debate appearance. Another recent poll from Fox News showed him snagging 25 percent of primary voters' support.
Of course, Trump hasa long way to go until the July 2016 Republican National Convention. As Huffington Post's polling team points out, the election has barely begun andTrump's surge has partly to do with his dominance in the news cycle. According to polling guru Nate Silver, early leads"depend heavily on name recognition... most voters have lives and have not started thinking about the race seriously yet."
