Trump campaign lawyer Joe diGenova claimed that former head of U.S. cybersecurity Chris Krebs should be ‘taken out at dawn and shot.’ Krebs, a lifelong Republican who served as director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, was fired by Pres. Trump after his agency released a statement calling the 2020 election the 'most secure in American history.' DiGenova remarked that Krebs should be ‘drawn and quartered’ on ‘The Howie Carr Show,’ which airs on the conservative cable news channel Newsmax. A day earlier, Krebs said on ‘60 Minutes’ that Trump was trying to ‘undermine democracy … to undermine confidence in the election, to confuse people, to scare people.’ DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia and deep-state conspiracy theorist, was added to Trump's legal team in November 2020 to challenge the election results The Trump campaign has lost 39 lawsuits so far in its attempt to overturn election results in battleground states. Despite Pres.-elect Joe Biden winning a 'landslide' of electoral votes, by Trump's own definition, the president has yet to concede and continues to spread lies and conspiracy theories about the election results.
