Donald Trump has already had a Facebook post banned for spreading Covid misinformation on his return to the White House after being hospitalised with the disease over the weekend.
The president proclaimed himself well and appeared on the Truman Balcony to give a thumbs-up to the press on Monday night, a spectacle that inspired his ex-communications director Anthony Scaramucci to compare him to an “American Mussolini”.
Mr Trump’s return after three nights at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center came despite his physician Dr Sean Conley warning he was “not out of the woods yet” and also attracted criticism over his decision to take off his face mask and interact with staffers even though he is likely to still be contagious.
