Trump offers US support to French president after Irma hits French islands

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump spoke on Friday with French President Emmanuel Macron to extend his condolences on the devastation to the French territories of St. Barthelemy and St. Martin due to Hurricane Irma, and to offer U.S. support to the French government, the White House said in a statement.
