Trump pays tribute to Ashli Babbitt, Capitol rioter who was fatally shot

Former President Donald Trump recorded a video paying tribute to Ashli Babbitt, who participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack and was fatally shot by a police officer. In the video, reportedly played at an event to celebrate what would have been Babbitt's 36th birthday, Trump said, "There was no reason Ashli should've lost her life that day," and called for the Department of Justice to reopen an investigation into her death.
