Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio joined former President Trump’s campaign as a senior adviser, Fabrizio confirmed to The Hill.

The move allows the veteran pollster to directly communicate with the Trump campaign, after previously serving as a strategist for MAGA Inc., an outside group backing the former president. He was unable to before due to stipulations preventing super PACs from coordinating directly with the campaigns they are backing.

Fabrizio’s move to the campaign side marks the Trump’s team expansion heading into the general election in November, where he will likely face off in a rematch against President Biden.

He has been involved in the former president’s political operations for years, being a lead pollster in both his 2016 and 2020 campaigns. Fabrizio also worked on other presidential candidates’ campaigns, including Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and the late Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.).

Fabrizio has also advised the presumptive GOP nominee for two years after Trump left the White House.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) praised Fabrizio in response to the news.

“Tony Fabrizio is the best pollster in the business,” Blackburn said in a social media post Tuesday. “He will be an essential asset to the Trump campaign and help the @GOP WIN BIG this November. There’s simply no one better than Tony.”

Politico first reported Fabrizio’s move to the campaign.
