Former President Donald Trump and his son Don Jr. commentated the Saturday night boxing bout between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort, receiving cheers of support from the crowd.
The crowd began cheering as the former president commentated before the fight.
“This is an honor to be with you! What a great evening,” Trump said, addressing the crowd. “I think you’re gonna see an incredible fight ... We love our country, we love our country. Thank you very much."

The match between 58-year-old Holyfield and 44-year-old Belfort took place on the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Holyfield was knocked out in the first round, not landing a single punch on the considerably younger Belfort during the match.
Trump is a longtime friend of Holyfield, which he says was one of the reasons he agreed to commentate the fight.
“I tell you what, I have been close to Evander,” Trump said. “I’ve been with him during some incredible times in his career and I’ve seen him enter a little bit of a bad time, but he came out of it. He’s a great guy and he’s a great, great fighter.”
Trump, 75, said during a Thursday press conference for the fight that if he boxed President Joe Biden he would easily win against the 78-year-old. Biden would “go down very, very quickly," Trump explained. “No, I think Biden would go down within the first few seconds.”
