Trump says 'Middle Easterns' are travelling in Central American caravan

Donald Trump said 'Middle Easterns' are travelling in a caravan of Central American migrants heading for the US border, and that they wouldn't be allowed in the country.

His comments came ahead of a rally supporting his 2016 Presidential rival Ted Cruz’s Senate campaign. Cruz has been Senator for Texas since 2013 and is seeking re-election in the upcoming midterms.

Cruz welcomed his former rival to the stage saying he couldn’t wait to campaign alongside him in 2020. Trump praised Cruz for his role in Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation, and getting tax cuts through the Senate.

Later the US President boasted that despite the word being 'old-fashioned' he was a nationalist to rapturous applause and cheering from the crowd.
