Trump says his 'beautiful wall' is in the works ... in Colorado

Luckily for President Trump, he was at an oil and gas conference, not a gathering of cartographers, when he announced on Wednesday his administration is building the wall in Colorado.

"Do you know why we're going to win New Mexico?" he said during the Shale Insight Conference in Pittsburgh. "Because they want safety on their border, and they didn't have it. And we're building a wall on the border of New Mexico and we're building a wall in Colorado. We're building a beautiful wall, a big one that really works, that you can't get over, you can't get under. And we're building a wall in Texas. And we're not building a wall in Kansas, but they get the benefit of the walls we just mentioned."

Since his campaign days, Trump has promised to build a wall along the southern border with Mexico. Colorado, however, is well north of Mexico, something children in the state are aware of, Gov. Jared Polis (D) tweeted. "Well this is awkward," he said. "Colorado doesn't border Mexico. Good thing Colorado now offers free full-day kindergarten so our kids can learn basic geography."
