Trump says FBI searched Mar-a-Lago estate

The FBI searched Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate as part of an investigation into whether he took classified records from the White House to his Florida residence, people familiar with the matter said Monday, a move that represents a dramatic and unprecedented escalation of law enforcement scrutiny of the former president.

MICHELLE PRICE: We don't know for sure what they were looking for, what they were-- what they had taken, but we know that there had been, in the past, 15 boxes of classified material had been found at Mar-a-Lago. That discovery was referred to the Justice Department after the National Archives found that material. It's possible that they were looking for any additional classified material that the former president may have taken with him to his residence.
