Trump says Ukraine's new president, Zelenskiy, to visit White House soon

WASHINGTON, Aug 9 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Friday that Ukraine's new president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, was going to be invited to the White House and that he would be coming very soon.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he thought Zelenskiy was "a very reasonable guy" and that he was likely to make a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zelenskiy, a television sitcom star, was elected in a landslide in May.
