Trump Supporters Line Up to Attend Arizona Rally Amid Excessive Heat Warning

Supporters of US President Donald Trump stood in long lines to attend a re-election rally in Yuma, Arizona, on August 18, as temperatures reached up to 118 F amid an excessive heat warning.

Footage of the attendees waiting for buses shows a long string of people, many in pro-Trump attire. “This is my sixth or seventh rally,” a man wearing a Trump 2020 cowboy hat says.

Trump campaign officials said that the president was scheduled to deliver remarks regarding “Joe Biden’s failures on immigration and border security,” reports said, and receive an update on construction of his southern border wall, a promise made during the 2016 Trump campaign.

This was Trump’s second trip to the border city of Yuma since June, and the president’s third visit to Arizona during the pandemic, according to local reports. Credit: Nick Oza/USA Today via Storyful
