Trump Throws Hats Into Crowd at Duluth Rally Day Before Positive COVID-19 Diagnosis

US President Donald Trump was filmed on September 30 throwing hats to supporters in Duluth, Minnesota, a day before declaring on Twitter he had tested positive for coronavirus.

This footage, shot by video journalist Brendan Gutenschwager, shows Trump throwing hats to a cheering crowd.

In his tweet, Trump said he and the First Lady had both “tested positive for COVID-19.”

“We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately,” he wrote. “We will get through this TOGETHER!”

Dr. Sean Conley, the White House physician, said in a statement dated October 1, “The President and First Lady are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.”

Conley said he expected Trump to “continue carrying out his duties without disruption.” Credit: Brendan Gutenschwager via Storyful
