From trunk or treats to haunted gatherings, here's a look at what's happening for Halloween

Oct. 6—A Trunk or Treat will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Horse Creek Academy, 1200 Toolebeck Road.

A Disney-themed Spooktacular Trick or Treat Trail will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, from 4-6 p.m. at the Aiken County Family YMCA, 621 Trolley Line Road in Graniteville. The event is free and open to the public.

A Fall Food Trucks and Trunk or Treat event will be held from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 1630 Silver Bluff Road. A Trunk or Treat will be held from 2-3 p.m., and food trucks, including Fish & Chips, Ed's Smokin BBQ, Chester Crescent Moon Peanuts, Cole's Cookies, Cakes & Creations, Hometown Grounds, Baker's Mann Sweet N' Savory and South Pole Pierogis. A Trick or Treat Drop In will be Friday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Aiken County Visitors Center, 135 Laurens St. N.W. Drop in, make a quick craft, get a spooky treat, show off your costume and pose for a photo-op. The event is free to the public while supplies last.

Halloween Storytime and Trick-or-Treating will be held Friday, Oct. 27, at the Aiken County Public Library, 314 Chesterfield St. Storytimes will be 10:15-10:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. to noon. Trick-or-treating will be from 10:30-11:40 a.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Registration for storytime starts on Tuesday, Oct. 10. You can only sign up for one storytime. There is no registration for trick-or-treating.

Aiken Ghost Tours will be held Friday, Oct. 27; Saturday, Oct. 28; Sunday, Oct. 29; and Tuesday, Oct. 31. Tours start at 6:30 p.m. at the entrance to the graveyard of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 125 Pendleton St. The cost is $20 per person for adults and $15 for children 16 and younger. A Howl O'Ween celebration will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at The Village at Woodside, 230 Village Green Blvd. The event will feature dogs in costume, music by the Lost Dog Band, vendors offering items for pets and more. The event is sponsored in partnership with the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare.

A Spooktacular Drive-Thru will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the Aiken County Recreation Center, 917 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville. Participants should drive through, stop at each station and fill their bags with goodies. For more information, email tcooks@aikencountysc.gov.

A Trunk or Treat will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Talatha Baptist Church, 361 Talatha Church Road.

A Ghostly Gathering will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Gaston Livery Stable, 1315 Richland Ave. E. Tickets are $75. The event will offer dinner, drinks, dancing, a costume contest and an auction. Proceeds benefit the United Way of Aiken County. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit eventbrite.com.
