Trust in the national information telethon United News is continuing to fall, according to the latest survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), published on Dec. 28.

Trust in the telethon, which launched on Feb. 24, 2022 to unify Ukraine’s official news programs, has decreased by 26% since May of last year,

The survey, conducted between May 2022 and December 2023, shows a decrease in trust from 69% to 48% in October, with a further drop to 43% in December.

At the same time, the number of people who do not trust the telethon has increased to 38%, while 19% remain undecided.

The KIIS also found that those who do not trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are more critical of the telethon, while 52% of Zelenskyy's supporters trust it (29% do not trust, 19% are undecided).

The level of trust in the telethon is about the same in all regions - 42-44%.

The survey, conducted via telephone interviews between Dec. 4 and Dec. 10, included 1,200 respondents from all Kyiv-controlled Ukrainian regions.
