Try Brie, Cheddar, Chèvre & Other Cheeses, All Vegan, At Rebel Cheese
Rebel Cheese is vegan, plant-based cheese made out of cashews. Kirsten Maitland, who owns the company with husband Fred Zwar, joined Studio 512 to talk about what’s new.
“We make plant-based brie, cheddar, tomato fromage and honey pistachio, as well as vegan meat charcuterie boards. We also offer a variety of sandwiches, salads, desserts and a vegan retail and wine shop.”
Rebel Cheese is also celebrating a couple of big wins: Kirsten and Fred appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank in December of 2023 and received investment from both Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner. The company also recently opened a 9,000 square foot production facility, where they’ll be manufacturing cheese for mail order and wholesale customers.
