Try these Devour Indy unique dining deals in the summer 2022 session

Scenes inside of Louvino participating in Devour Indy featuring dishes such as brussels sprouts, shrimp n grits, and a chocolate chip beignets Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Louvino on Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis.

Certainly, Devour Indy is synonymous with discounted steak dinners, but there’s more to the two-week restaurant promotion. There are opportunities to dine at private clubs, get into some new restaurants and even try out a healthy meal plan.

The twice-a-year promotion, run by the Indiana Restaurant & Lodging Association, is designed to drive traffic to local eateries during traditionally slow periods.

Here are five of the standout offers from the summer session, which runs Aug. 22 through Sept. 4.

The full list of restaurants can be found at devourindy.com.

Ash & Elm Cider Co.

1301 E. Washington St., Indianapolis

The restaurant clocks into Devour Indy with the least expensive lunch for a solo diner – salad or chef Tracey Couillard’s avocado and cucumber gazpacho along with a slider (barbeque pork, chicken, burger or turkey) for $10.

HercuLean Meal Prep

3832 E. 82nd St., Indianapolis

906 Carrollton Ave., Indianapolis

A non-traditional Devour Indy participant, the healthy meal provider offers a chance to try its goods at a drastic discount.

Twenty dollars gets you four frozen meals, including pizzas, that normally cost $9.29 and up on HercuLean meal plans. The deal is limited to one per person during the promotion.

Hoss Bar & Grill

7870 E. 96th St., Fishers

This northside eatery has one of the most fun menus in the form of $20 dine-in deals — your choice of 20 wings; a 14-inch pizza with breadsticks; six Angus beef cheeseburger sliders with hand-cut fries, breaded mushrooms or breaded pickles; or 20 mini corn dogs with fries. Pitchers of beer on tap are $12.

Osteria by Fabio Viviani

11505 N. Illinois St., Carmel

Dinner service just launched in August at this restaurant from “Top Chef” contestant and fan favorite Fabio Viviani, featuring house-made pastas, pizzas and craft cocktails.

The $40 three-course dinner includes choices of Pasta alla Boscaiola; salmon with a citrus farro risotto; and chicken marsala made with roasted thighs. Viviani’s tiramisu is the dessert.

Vida

601 E. New York St., Indianapolis

For us non-military veterans, this represents the best time to enjoy one of the city's best dining experiences at a discount. 2022 James Beard Awards Best Chef semi-finalist Thomas Melvin presents a $75 five-course tasting menu of kanpachi, wild king salmon, sweet corn tortelloni, Wagyu ribeye and chocolate torte. Guests can also choose a three-course tasting, in which they select their items, for $50. Melvin’s features change daily, but recently have included Black Angus ribeye with roasted mushroom, Robuchon potato, Brussels sprouts and a veal demi; and red grouper with ginger and coconut curry, grilled scallion, squash and citrus caviar.
