This year, Ruth's Chris Steak House has been celebrating founder Ruth Fertel with a series of TasteMaker Dinners. The fifth dinner, to be held August 17 and 18 at 105 Ruth's Chris locations around the country, is all about the bubbly.

The five-course meal has a champagne pairing for each course, using the world's best brands – two from Veuve Clicquot and one each from Domaine Chandon, Moët & Chandon, and Ruinart.

The meal itself sounds pretty bomb too, with courses like butternut squash ravioli with sage mascarpone sauce and a lemon cheesecake with a toasted walnut crumble. You can see the full menu here, and make reservations today for the two-night event.

The cost for the five-course dinner varies by location, but most are between $110 and $120 per person ... not bad considering the amount of champs involved.

According to steakhouse's website, the dinner series pairs fine dining with "today's tastemakers of wine, champagne, and whiskey." The final dinner of the year will be held in October, and pairs a meal with Marchesi Antinori wine.

If you don't have a Ruth's Chris nearby, celebrate on your own and try one of these champagne cocktails instead (and if you're looking for something on the cheap, we've got you covered). If it's good enough for the Queen, it's more than fine by us.
