MURFREESBORO – The fourth day of the TSSAA Spring Fling is over.

Here are the top moments from Jackson area high schools from Friday's spring sports state tournament action:

3 West Tennessee baseball teams make semifinals

Bradford, Peabody and McKenzie have advanced to the Class 1A semifinals.

Cason Sharp helped lead Bradford to its first semifinals appearance when he went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. The Red Devils (18-20) will play at Eagleville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Peabody defeated McKenzie 2-1 to advance to its third semifinals appearance. London Burkett went 2-for-4 and Eli Girard went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

The Golden Tide (25-11-1) will face McKenzie again at a time that is to be determined on Saturday at Riverdale.

BASEBALL SCHEDULE: TSSAA baseball state tournament 2022 schedule, scores for Spring Fling

McKenzie lost to Peabody in its first game on Friday before defeating Gordonsville, 10-1. This will also be the Rebels (25-7) third semifinals appearance.

Jake McDaniel went 2-3 with a home run and four RBIs. Collin McLearin, Hayden Hixon, Zayden McCaslin and Tate Surber each had two hits.

Lexington softball advances to title game 

For the third time in four years and the seventh time in school history, Lexington has advanced to the state championship game.

They defeated District 11-3A foe Hardin County 10-2 for the fifth time this season behind Mykenzi Duke, who went 2-3 with a three-run home run.

Cadey McDaniel pitched seven innings and had four strikeouts. She also went 1-4 with two RBIs.

Lexington (47-1) will play face the Hardin County-Gibbs winner at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Starplex.

Camden tennis player repeats as champ

Junior Elli Reynoldson won her second straight singles state championship after defeating Unicoi County's Lily Mefford 6-0, 6-1.

Reynoldson had a better outing this year in the state tournament than she did last year. This tournament she only lost three games in three matches while she lost five games in three matches last year.

USJ tennis wins another state title tennis title champions

The USJ's girls team won the state championship on Wednesday, and now the USJ girls doubles team of Blair Driver and Brilee Davis has won the Division II-A doubles tournament after defeating St. George's Allison Smith and Sienna Lightman 6-1, 6-4.

This is the first doubles titles that the USJ girls has won since 2006.

Madison comes away with two runners-up 

The Madison soccer team lost in penalty kicks 3-2 to Gatlinburg Pittman in the Class 1A state championship. This was the Mustangs first appearance in a championship game.

They finish the season 19-3 with three players having over 20 goals and 10 assists (Donovan Pruitte, Braden Nye and Jack Young). Madison scored 130 goals this season while only allowing 12 goals.

Mitzi Castro and Leigh Baldwin were the girls doubles Class A state runners-up after falling to Summertown's Ella Konig and Gracie Kelly.

This is the second straight year a Madison's doubles team has reached the finals (Castro and Sarah Wilson).
