TSSAA Spring Fling top performers: Statewide standouts from Day 2

Here is a look at the top high school performers from the second day of the TSSAA spring sports state tournaments.

WEDNESDAY

Baseball

Carson Plunk, Adamsville: Went 3-for-3, including two home runs, and had four RBIs in an 11-7 loss to Loudon.

Cason Sharp, Bradford: Threw a complete game, four-hitter with four strikeouts in a 9-6 victory against Lookout Valley.

Braden Gover, Covington: Threw a complete game, scattering six hits and striking out six in a 9-2 win over Tullahoma.

Holden Warmath, Covington: Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

Brayden Baker, Eagleville: Got the win, allowing three hits in five innings pitched, and went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in a 13-0 victory over Coalfield.

Brennon Seigler, Farragut: Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in a 7-6 win over Collierville.

Tanner Lane, Goodpasture: Threw a complete game, three-hitter with six strikeouts in a 9-3 win against Franklin Grace.

Logan Harrell, Goodpasture: Homered twice and had four RBIs.

Carson Rucker, Goodpasture: Went 2-for-3, including a homer, and had three RBIs.

Kyle Adams, Gordonsville: Got the win, striking out seven in six innings pitched of a 5-2 victory over University – JC.

Robbi Martin, Houston: Homered and had three RBIs in a 10-7 victory over Stewarts Creek.

Ryan Mitchell, Houston: Had three RBIs.

TSSAA BASEBALL: TSSAA baseball state tournament 2022 schedule for Spring Fling

Willie Walton, Lipscomb Academy: Threw a complete game, four-hitter and struck out seven in a 3-2 win over Baylor.

Caden Porter, Loretto: Went 3-for-5 with six RBIs and two runs scored in a 15-5 victory over Loudon.

Jayden Capshaw, Loudon: Went 3-for-3, including a homer, and had three RBIs and two runs scored in an 11-7 victory against Adamsville.

Matthew Meade, Loudon: Went 2-for-4, including a homer, and had two RBIs and three runs scored.

Olin Johnson, McCallie: Threw a complete game, two-hitter with 10 strikeouts in an 8-2 win over Knoxville Catholic.

Carter Hewitt, McCallie: Went 2-for-4, including a homer, with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Spencer Haley, Northpoint: Went 2-for-5 with three RBIs in an 8-7 victory over Silverdale. Went 3-for-4 with four RBIs vs. Franklin Grace.

James Smith, Northpoint: Went 3-for-3 with two runs scored.

J.B. Williams, Northpoint: Threw a complete game, striking out 10 in a 12-5 win against Franklin Grace.

Chase McKnatt, Northpoint: Homered, had four RBIs and scored three runs.

Dylan Loy, Pigeon Forge: Got the win, striking out 10 in 4.2 innings, and went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in an 8-5 victory over Forrest.

Charles Smith, Powell: Threw a complete game, three-hitter and struck out five in a 10-3 win against Centennial.

Jaxon Truman, Powell: Went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Bryson Robbins, South Gibson: Tripled, had three RBIs and scored two runs in a 9-8 win against Sullivan East.

Robert Matano, Stewarts Creek: Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in a 10-7 loss to Houston.

Tyson Mitchell, Sullivan East: Scattered five hits and struck out seven in six innings pitched of a 10-0 win against Munford.

Corbin Dickenson, Sullivan East: Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Brayden Blevins, Tennessee: Threw a complete game, scattering six hits and striking out four in a 6-4 victory over Montgomery Central.

Rylan Henard, Tennessee: Threw a complete game, scattering six hits in a 4-3 win against Tullahoma.

William Penland, Upperman: Went 2-for-3, including a double, and had three RBIs in a 6-5 win against South Gibson.

Kaden Seay, Watertown: Went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in a 10-3 win against Loretto.

Anthony King, White House Heritage: Went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in a 9-3 victory over Riverside.

Softball

Adrianna King, Alcoa: Threw a complete game, two-hitter with seven strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Community.

Olivia Emert, Alcoa: Went 4-for-4, including a homer, and scored twice.

Riley Olesik, Baylor: Went 2-for-2, including a triple, and had four RBIs in a 15-0 win against Chattanooga Christian.

Holly Merritt, Baylor: Had four RBIs and scored two runs.

Averi Slaughter, Columbia Academy: Threw a two-hitter and struck out 11 in a 15-0 victory over Jackson Christian.

Myleah Hardy, Columbia Academy: Went 3-for-4, including two homers, had five RBIs and three runs scored.

Kennedy Chatman, Columbia Academy: Went 2-for-4, including a homer, had four RBIs and two runs scored.

Tori Duval, Columbia Academy: Went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and scored three runs.

Emberly Nichols, Clarksville: Threw a complete game, striking out nine in a 7-3 win over Wilson Central.

Abby Chappell, Clarksville: Hit a three-run homer.

Riley Brinn, Daniel Boone: Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in a 9-6 win over Summit.

Ava Saul, Daniel Boone: Threw a complete game, three-hitter in a 4-0 victory against Springfield.

Bailey Shepard, DCA: Threw a complete game, two-hitter and struck out eight in a 6-4 victory over Lakeway Christian.

Heather Scales, DCA: Went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Eva Stafford, Dresden: Allowed two hits and struck out eight in seven innings of a 1-0 loss to Eagleville.

Ava Ozment, Dyer Co.: Threw a complete game, five-hitter with 16 strikeouts in a 4-2 win against Tennessee. Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored in an 8-7 loss to Lincoln Co.

Addisyn Linton, Eagleville: Threw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts in a 1-0 victory over Dresden.

Avery Flatford, Farragut: Scattered five hits and struck out 12 in six innings of an 11-2 win over Springfield.

Autumn Caywood, Farragut: Went 3-for-3, including a homer, and had four RBIs.

Sarah Livingston, Farragut: Went 2-for-5 with three RBIs.

Julie Williams, Forrest: Threw a complete game, three-hitter and struck out four in an 8-1 win against Adamsville.

Abby Ferguson, Forrest: Went 3-for-5, including a triple, and had five RBIs.

Emma Keck, Gibbs: Went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 9-3 victory against Soddy Daisy.

Kailey Plumlee, Gordonsville: Threw a complete game, one-hitter with 20 strikeouts, and went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 7-0 win against Dresden.

Audrey McClanahan, Gordonsville: Went 2-for-3, including a homer, and had three RBIs.

McKamey Bratcher, GPS: Doubled and had three RBIs in a 9-2 victory over TRA.

Shelby Durbin, Hardin Co.: Went 4-for-4, including two homers, and had three RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-9 victory over Gibbs.

Audrey Blackwelder, Hardin Co.: Went 2-for-4, including a homer, with four RBIs and two runs scored.

Lily Taylor, Harriman: Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in a 9-5 loss to Jo Byrns.

Anna Garland, Harriman: Went 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

Ashtyn Danley, Huntland: Threw a complete game, two-hitter and struck out nine, and went 3-for-3, including a homer, with two RBIs in a 9-0 win against Oliver Springs.

Julia Arms, Jo Byrns: Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in a 9-5 victory over Harriman.

Callie Yates, Jo Byrns: Threw a complete game, four-hitter and struck out eight in a 6-1 victory against Oliver Springs.

Mykenzi Duke, Lexington: Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored in an 11-0 win over Lincoln Co.

Hallie Meeks, Lincoln Co.: Went 2-for-4, including a homer, and scored three runs in an 8-7 victory over Dyer Co.

Emily Cozart, Loretto: Threw a complete game, five-hitter with five strikeouts in a 3-2 win against Meigs Co.

Briley Dover, Loretto: Went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in a 7-5 win over Community.

Taylor Lloyd, Soddy Daisy: Threw a complete game, one-hitter and struck out 11 in a 6-0 victory against Brighton.

Adasyn Wilkey, Soddy Daisy: Hit a two-run homer.

Rebecca Fujino, Stewarts Creek: Got the win, scattering seven hits in a 3-0 victory over Coffee Co.

Hannah Lindsey, Summertown: Threw a five-inning, no-hitter and was 2-for-2, including a homer, and had four RBIs in an 11-1 victory over Riverside. Got the win, allowing three hits and striking out five in five innings of a 3-0 victory against Adamsville.

Anne Marie Richards, Summit: Went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in a 9-6 loss to Daniel Boone.

McKenzie Miller, Wilson Central: Allowed four hits and struck out 10 in five innings of a 3-1 win over Stewarts Creek.

Cloe Smith, Wilson Central: Went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Soccer

Lucas Nordin, Bearden: Scored two goals in a 3-1 win against Oakland.

Forrest Wells, Brentwood: Had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory over Collierville.

Joseph Salazar, Collierville: Had a goal and an assist.

Malachi Jones, Franklin Grace: Had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win against St. George’s.

Donovon Pruitte, Madison Magnet: Scored two goals in a 2-0 victory over STEM Prep Academy.

Boys Track

Trace Alexander, BGA: Won the Division II-A 1,600 and 3,200 runs.

London Humphreys, CPA: Won three Division II-AA events (long jump, 100 and 200)

Drake Carlson, Father Ryan: Won the Division II-AA shot put and discus events.

Girls Track

Mensi Stiff, Brentwood Academy: Finished first in shot put and discus in Division II-AA.

Erica Douglas, Ensworth: Finished first in 100 meters and 200 meters in Division II-AA.

Brenay Williams, Goodpasture: Finished first in 100 hurdles and 100 meters in Division II-A.

Bella Guillamondegui, Harpeth Hall: Finished first in 800 meters and 1600 meters in Division II-AA.

Lauren Rutlin, St. George’s: Finished first in 800 meters and 3200 meters in Division II-A.

Lennox Langham, Webb-Knoxville: Finished first in triple jump and long jump in Division II-AA.
