Go tubing at these 5 cool Texas rivers that are within driving distance of Fort Worth

It’s been a hot summer in North Texas, with the days only getting hotter.

Many Texans are looking for ways to cool off, with some opting to bare it all at nude beaches. But for those looking to keep the towel on, Texas has plenty of other ways to relax on the water.

Tubing is a fun way to kick back, relax and cool off on Texas rivers. Here’s where to go tubing within driving distance from Fort Worth escape the summer heat:

Trinity River

Part of the 710-mile long Trinity River runs right through Fort Worth.

While its waters are known for kayaking, plenty of Fort Worthians hit the river on tubes. One of the benefits of tubing the river during the summer is the live music.

Panther Island Pavilion hosts “Rockin’ The River” through July and August every summer, bringing concerts to the Trinity River waterfront. Pick up a tube and hit the water as the country tunes drift across the waterway.
