Tuc Watkins Teases Partner Andrew Rannells With Adorable Birthday Post

Actor Tuc Watkins took to Instagram earlier this week to wish his beau, fellow actor Andrew Rannells a happy birthday by gently teasing him about his love of astrology.

Watkins posted a black and white photo of Rannells with a quote on top—ostensibly from the Welcome to Chippendales actor—reading “I’m not a Leo. I’m a Virgo. Leo’s are dramatic.”

The Instagram carousel also included a slide that gives the attributes of people born on the Leo-Virgo cusp. In astrology you are considered to be “on the cusp” if you were born close to the dates when one sun sign ends and the next begins. Since Leo goes from July 23 to August 22 and Virgo runs from August 23 to September 22, Rannells’ Aug. 23 birthday puts him right on the cusp.

Watkins captioned the post, “Today is @andrewrannells birthday. Do not taunt him. He straddles the Leo/Virgo cusp.” Rannells simply commented “Baby” and a heart emoji.

The final slide in the carousel is a sweet photo of the lovely couple taken at sunset, where Watkins is hugging his partner from behind.

The couple met in 2019 when they were both starring together in The Boys In The Band on Broadway, roles that the talented pair reprised in the Netflix film adaptation.

They worked together again on the Showtime hit Black Monday, where in season two Rannell’s aspiring stockbroker Blair Pfaff has a secret affair with politician Roger Harris, played by Watkins.

In a 2020 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Rannells talked about how their relationship started, “It’s called a show-mance. It’s when you fall in love during a show. We met and I felt like such a lazy actor that I fell in love with my co-star. I was like this is so cliché,” he said according to The Pink News.
