Tuesday is Election Day: What you need to know

Tuesday, Nov. 8, is Election Day. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bring a valid photo/signature ID, such as a driver's license, to your polling place. If you don't know where to vote, check with the Supervisor of Elections Office at votemarion.gov or 352-620-3290.

If you are voting by mail, ballots are due back to the elections office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, and they cannot be turned in at a polling place. As of noon Monday, 43,694 mail ballots had been received at the office.

Marion County has 271,032 registered voters. As of noon Monday, almost 30 percent of them had voted early or by mail.
