Tuesday 'Let's Talk Bayfront' program will address plans for pedestrians and cyclists

Evening traffic moves along the Bayfront Parkway, looking east, near the intersection of State Street, top right, in Erie on Jan. 24, 2020. PennDOT plans to lower the parkway under State Street, build dual-lane roundabouts at Sassafras and Holland streets and build pedestrian bridges over the parkway.

Tuesday's “Let’s Talk Bayfront” program will focus on planned improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists in the Bayfront Parkway Central Corridor Improvement Project.

Jim O’Mara, a consultant on the project, will be the guest for Tuesday's online, audio-only program. O'Mara and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokeswoman Jill Harry will discuss work that will be focused on pedestrian and bicycle access near and across the highway and will answer questions from the public.

The 25-minute Microsoft Teams Live program begins at 12:05 p.m. Visit the Bayfront Parkway Project Facebook page for a link to the program.
