Chain discount retailer Tuesday Morning announced it will go out of business, which will trigger store closures across the U.S., including locations in Arizona. Around 200 stores across 25 states will be affected by this decision.

This is the second major home goods retailer that has gone bust in the U.S. this year following the announcement that Bed Bath and Beyond will close its doors for good. The closure of Tuesday Morning ends a 49-year-old business that at one point had 700 locations.

The retailer announced a restructuring earlier this year and filed voluntary petitions for protection under Chapter 11 of U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Back in 2020, Tuesday Morning had filed for bankruptcy, which caused the permanent closure of 230 stores. The retailer cited the COVID-19 pandemic and said the closures were caused by an “insurmountable financial hurdle.”

When does Tuesday Morning close? Is there a sale?

Per Tuesday Morning's website, customers can take advantage of up to 30% off the lowest marked price on store items, and use gift cards or merchandise return cards before May 13.

It is unclear when the stores will close.

What Tuesday Morning stores are closing in Arizona?

A total of seven separate locations will be closed permanently following the announcement, the locations span across the state from Oro Valley to Flagstaff.

  • Lake Havasu City: 1795 Kiowa Ave., Suite 103.

  • Oro Valley:11835 N. Oracle Road, Suite 133.

  • Phoenix: 3055 E. Indian School Road.

  • Prescott: 1260 Gail Gardner Way.

  • Sedona: 6601 State Route 179.

  • Sun City: 10050 W. Bell Road.
