The skinny: This is a quick turnaround for both teams, as they were in action Friday. … The game originally was scheduled for Riverview’s Ram Bowl, but moved to Charlotte High because of damage to Riverview’s bleachers. … It is almost hard to believe these storied programs have combined for one win this late in the season. … Although it gave a spirited effort, Riverview lost its second straight game Friday at Sarasota High against Venice. … The Rams held a 14-7 lead in the first quarter on a pair of touchdown runs of 6 and 1 yards by RB DJ Johnson. … Riverview’s next points came on a fumble return by DT Da’marcus Abner following a blocked punt midway through the fourth quarter after Venice had scored 24 straight points. … The Rams’ special teams made a huge turnaround from the Clearwater Academy International game the week before. …  Riverview’s defense also recorded four sacks, two by DB Aidan Steiner and one each by DT Luke Haskins and Abner. … Charlotte picked up a game Friday at Pahokee and returned with its sixth straight setback to open the season. …  The Tarpons did not have an offensive touchdown, getting a kickoff return for a score from CB Avant Harris and two field goals from K Thomas Forte had two field goals. … Both teams are scheduled to play again Friday with Charlotte at home against Ida Baker and Riverview at Sarasota High to play the Sailors, both district games.
