Here are Tuesday's high school results and Wednesday's schedule

BOYS SOCCER

Chariho 1, East Greenwich 0: Chris Niziolek scored at the 15-minute mark of the first half, with an assist from Ethan Knowles, to lift the Chargers over the Avengers and help his team clinch a playoff berth. The win improves Chariho to 5-3-2 in Division II, and drops East Greenwich to 4-4-1. Drew DeNoncour had 6 saves for Chariho; Luca DiTraglia stopped 9 for EG.

Middletown 4, Johnston 2:  Easton Heroux scored 2 goals and Joel Hartery and Alexander Nieve had 1 each as the Islanders doubled-up on Johnston in Division III. Mouhamadou Marone and Miguel Santa Maria scored a goal apiece for the Panthers. Brady Venantio had 7 saves for the victors and Josue Vasquez recorded 12 saves in the loss.

The Scituate Spartans take on Titans of Toll Gate High School at home on Tuesday. The teams played to a 2-2 tie.

North Kingstown 6, Central 2: Dan Goba and Connor Froberg each scored twice, and the Skippers also got goals from Noah Korzeniowski and Jake Pezza to roll past the Knights in Division I. NK assists came from Froberg,  Korzeniowski, Johnluca Frenzilli Jr. and Mikiyas Ashenafi. Anderson Aabarca-Barillas and Henry Reyes scored for Central. Knights keeper Jordan Morales had 10 saves in the loss.

GIRLS SOCCER

Coventry 8, North Smithfield 0: Corrine Ciummo had the hattrick, Caitlin Dowling scored twice and Hannah Bishop, Mallory Lavigne and Mia Bucacci each found the back of the net once in the Division II win by the Oakers (3-3-1). Goaltender Lexi White had 14 saves to preserve the shutout, her 5th this season. Netminder Adrianna Carter had 19 saves for the Northmen.

FIELD HOCKEY

East Greenwich 9, Cumberland 1: Alex Mega scored 3 goals and assisted on three more, Margaret Neville added two goals and Grace Casey, Alana Modi, Ellie Pacard, and Layla Cameron scored 1 apiece in the Avengers victory in Division I. The Avengers improve to 11-1. Katie Galgay had the lone goal for the Clippers.

GIRLS TENNIS

North Kingstown 5, Portsmouth 2: A straight-set victory (6-3, 7-5) by No. 2 doubles team of Bridget McPhillips and Candace Zangari would be the deciding point in the Skippers victory over the Patriots.

Westerly 5, Rogers 2: After dropping the first the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matchups, the Bulldogs won the next 5, including No. 2 doubles where the team of Simone Hackett and Brooke Morrone took out their opponents in 3 sets (6-3, 6-7 (4) and 6-3) in what turned out to be the deciding point.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Mt. Hope 3, Johnston 2 (32-30, 25-19, 20-25, 25-27, 15-12): In one of the most competitive matches this season, Abby Allen had 17 kills and 4 blocks, Emma Torres had 38 digs, 7 kills and was 24-for-24 in serves and Sarah Wilcox had 9 kills and 24 digs as the Huskies escaped with a win over the Panthers. Johnston did not offer any of their stats.

Central Falls 3, Bay View 0 (25-23, 25-15, 28-26): Pamela Galva led the way for the Warriors with 7 kills and 3 aces, while Elenis Robles (4 aces), Melanie Rodrigue (9 digs) and Alexia Torres (5 kills, 2 aces) also contributed to the shutout.

Lincoln 3, St. Raphael 0 (26-24, 25-19, 26-24): Strong outings from Casey Weaver (10 kills, 3 aces), Kimberly Hickey (19 digs, 5 aces) and Chanel Ghazal (4 kills, 12 digs and 2 aces) made it easy for Lincoln to come away with win over the Saints. JV - L, 2-1.

Middletown 3, Burrillville 0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-20): Setter Olivia Kestler turned in another solid performance with 8 aces and 19 assists in the Islanders victory.

Chariho 3, Ponaganset (25-10, 25-15, 25-15): Lexi Cole put together one of her typical performances (7 aces, 21 assists, 7 digs) and teammate Finleigh Callahan was solid up front with 10 kills as Chariho rolled to victory.

East Providence 3, Rogers 1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-18): Brookelyn Feola recorded 12 kills, 10 digs and 6 aces and teammate Emma Nordquist dished off 23 assists and added 4 kills in the Townies victory over the Vikings in Division II. EP improves to 11-2 on the season.

Prout 3, Cranston East 0 (25-23, 25-12, 26-24)Sydney Decarvalho would record 10 kills, 2 aces and 5 digs and Paige Megley added 4 kills, 4 digs and 3 blocks in the Prout victory. JV - P, 2-0.

North Kingstown 3, East Greenwich 0 (25-18,25-22, 25-16): Carly Lafferty finished with 5 aces, 3 digs and a block and Mackenzie Lonergan had 6 kills and 9 digs in the Skippers' Division I victory.

Barrington 3, Pilgrim 2 (25-22, 20-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-12): Sophia Denham amassed 10 kills, 3 aces and 16 assists and Beatrice Adamek added 7 kills as the Eagles fought back from a 2-1 deficit to overcome the Patriots. Pilgrim was led by Kaleigh Catucci (6 kills 4 aces 2 blocks), Gianna Ramos (3 kills 5 aces 3 blocks) and Kayli Sherlock (5 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks).
