SHERWOOD - Bay Port won the sectional title and Kaukauna finished second as both teams advanced to the state tournament, which will be held Oct. 10-11 at University Ridge in Madison.

Bay Port finished with a 344 total. Kaukauna was second at 350, one shot ahead of Notre Dame and two shots ahead of Appleton North.

AJ Powell of Appleton North won the individual sectional title with a 73 to advance to state. Other individual state qualifiers were Sophia Baek (81) and Grace Durkin (82) of Notre Dame.

Adalyn Johnston shot 80 and Ava Beranek shot 81 to lead Bay Port players.

NORTH PRAIRIE - Danielle Bruecker of Wrightstown shot 78 to earn medalist honors and lead the Tigers to a second-place finish.

The Prairie School shot 354 and Wrightstown shot 356 to both advance to the state tournament, which is Oct. 10-11 at University Ridge in Madison.

Aliisa Helminen of Xavier and Lilly Kaminski of Denmark both shot 80 to advance to state as individuals.

OSHKOSH - The Patriots outlasted the Wildcats, winning the final three sets to take the match 18-25, 12-25, 25-13, 27-25, 18-16.

Avery Pakula and Sydnee Nelson each had 12 kills for Oshkosh West, and Maeve Lasky had 10 kills. Kierstin Martin added 25 assists, MaKaelyn Clark had 14 assists, and Martin, Elaina Butz and Maddi Choinski each had 14 digs.

Xavier 3, Seymour 0

SEYMOUR - The Hawks improved to 5-0 in the Bay Conference and 28-7 overall with the 25-12, 25-13, 25-21 win over the Thunder.

Mariah Potter had 32 assists and 15 digs for Xavier. Haley Flick had 10 aces. Annnika Kowalski and Mattea Kiepert were 1-2 in kills with 15 and 11, respectively.

Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Clintonville 0

APPLETON - The Foxes were too much for the Truckers, posting a 25-10, 25-21, 25-9 North Eastern Conference victory.

Statistical leaders for FVL included Annalise Patchett with seven kills, Ava Patchett with 19 assists, Kate Henze with eight kills and four aces, Samantha Kempinger with 13 kills and four digs, Kennedy Schmitz with three aces and 18 digs, and Savanna Charron with 17 assists and three aces.

Luxemburg-Casco 3, Waupaca 0

LUXEMBURG - The Spartans swept the Comets 25-17, 25-16, 25-21.

Alayna Deprez had a team-high 22 assists for Luxemburg-Casco. Brooke VandeHei and Kylie Hanson had 13 and 11 digs, respectively. Hanson had a team-high nine kills, while Autumn Flynn added seven.

“It was a nice win,” Luxemburg-Casco coach Jeffrey Frey said. “Waupaca is a much-improved team. They were on a roll coming in. I was happy with a lot of thigs we did tonight, just need to continue to focus on the little things.”

St. Mary Catholic 3, Mishicot 0

MISHICOT - The Zephyrs rolled to the 25-13, 25-16, 25-15 win.

Statistical leaders for the Zephyrs were Lauren Fischer with 14 kills, Eliana Brenn with five kills and seven aces, and Stella Virlee with nine assists and seven aces.

Kohler 3, Hilbert 2

KOHLER - The Blue Bombers rallied from a 2-0 deficit in sets and defeated the Wolves 15-25, 16-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-9.

Dhanvi Kanade led Kohler with 21 digs. She also had 13 kills. Isabel Wichman had 34 assists and 17 digs. Sophia Zhang had 19 digs, seven kills and six aces for Kohler.

Kimberly 3, Neenah 0

NEENAH - The Papermakers swept the Rockets 25-20, 25-17, 25-19 in a Fox Valley Association match Monday.

Eva Johnson had 12 kills, Macy Herman had 36 assists and Katie Schulz had 12 digs for Kimberly.

Neenah was led by Claudia Merizon with 11 assists, seven kills and seven digs. Jenna Lawatsch added 25 digs, Carly Stamm had seven kills and Leia Kersten had nine assists.

Appleton North 3, Fond du Lac 0

FOND DU LAC - Ella Demetrician had 18 kills and Emerson Van Lannen had 35 assists for the Lightning in a 25-12, 25-13, 25-22 victory over the Cardinals on Monday.

Karissa Fortune added eight kills and seven digs, Teegan Charapata had six kills and Ella Brinkhoff had seven digs.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Kimberly 3, Appleton East 1

APPLETON - The Papermakers outlasted the Patriots 25-21, 25-19, 24-26, 25-14 in Fox Valley Association action.

Kevin McGrath helped power Kimberly with 22 digs, while Brady Koester had 13 kills and four blocks; Aaron Nelson 45 assists, five kills and four blocks; Lucas Eckrose 17 kills and 15 digs; Kaden Grall five kills and nine digs; Luke Mohr six kills and seven blocks; and Garret Biesterveld eight kills.

“East is extremely well-coached and played tough tonight,” Kimberly coach Matt Seidl said. “A lot of balls were coming back at us that usually do not.”

Kaukauna 3, Fond du Lac 0

FOND DU LAC - The Ghosts were dominant in the 25-18, 25-17, 25-11 win over the Cardinals.

Statistical leaders for Kaukauna were Jacob Acord with five aces, 24 assists and eight digs, and Mason Tienor with eight kills, seven digs and two blocks.

Other leaders included Zach Voet with seven kills and Andrew Vande Hey and Jack Van Epern with five each; Jade Breckheimer with 12 digs; and Zach Voet and Brady Mayer with three blocks each.

Appleton West 3, Notre Dame 0

GREEN BAY - Liam Richards had 16 kills as the Terrors topped the Tritons 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

West was also paced by Cooper Brown with eight kills and Brenden Nesemann with 25 assists.

Appleton North 3, Neenah 0

NEENAH - The Lightning defeated the Rockets 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 in a Fox Valley Association match.

Appleton North improved to 5-0 in the FVA and 19-5 overall. Neenah is 2-3 in conference play.

BOYS SOCCER

Oshkosh West 4, Appleton East 0

APPLETON - The Wildcats scored three goals in the second half to pull away and beat the Patriots, clinching the Fox Valley Association championship.

John Munson, Carson Gerlach, Max Mezaros and Cameron Cumber scored goals for Oshkosh West.

Beau Lasky, Max Maslowski, Munson and Mezaros had assists.

Appleton North 1, Kimberly 1

KIMBERLY - Eli Rudolph scored in the 47th minute to put the Papermakers ahead only to have the Lightning score with less than one second left in the match to tie things up.

Cooper Hoffman had four saves for Kimberly, which finishes the FVA regular season with a 5-1-3 record and tied for second place with Neenah.

Fox Valley Lutheran 8, Little Chute 0

LITTLE CHUTE - John Callaway scored four goals and added an assist as the Foxes rolled past the Mustangs.

Also scoring goals for FVL were Billy Su, Lincoln Fleming, Reed Curtis and Mason Londre.

Jin Lee added four assists and Sangjin Lee had one.

Matthew Callaway had one save in net for the Foxes.
